Student Media Workshop

(formerly our Internship Program)

Have you ever noticed an ad seemed like it was created just for you to see? A facebook ad that sparked your interest in your newsfeed because you love the outdoors? An item you thought about purchasing earlier in the week shows up when you are reviewing your team’s stats for the week? A larger than life billboard on the highway about a store opening in your town? Do you want to learn not only how these messages get placed there, but the strategy behind pairing the right customers with the right product and messages?

True Media hosts Student Media Workshops (formerly internships) to give students this experience.  The two-week workshop are held in the True Media Columbia and St. Louis offices where you will be taken through these media strategy steps by experts within our company. In addition, there will be a hands-on project on one of our real clients so you can put what you learn into practice.

Throughout the two weeks, we will be sharing the target audience analysis that goes in to making these decisions, how media is planned and negotiated for prime placement, and how we track delivery and therefore success to use to always be improving how we work on behalf of our clients.

During the workshop you will be required to be on-site from 8:30 am-5:00 pm each day. The workshop is fully funded by True Media. Participants will not receive monetary compensation or educational credit hours.

Participation can be cancelled at any time by True Media due to a change in work environment or the students’ failure to conduct oneself in a professional, reliable manner. Participants are required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement relating to information that will be shared as part of the workshop experience.
